The late 2000s and early 2010s were really where Lego themes peaked.

I mean power miners, space police, pharaoh’s quest, and Atlantis are among my favorite Lego themes.

The reason why this Theme is so popular is because it was very accessible. Most sets weren't expensive and all had unique play features. Add the combination feature and you got a great theme

I really regret missing out on this and Atlantis. A shame there's basically no non licensed themes any more other than the evergreens we've had for years that keep absorbing all possible ideas that could have been their own theme

Two years, was that really all it was? That time of my life felt like ages, I loved these sets so much and I remember playing with them with my best friend. Themes like this and Atlantis really captivated my childhood imagination, I really hope Lego gets back into making things like this again someday.

So satisfying seeing those power miner vehicles. Especially the cool drills and mechanisms.

There was a point in my childhood where I actually had every single Power Miners set. Still my favourite Lego theme of all time to this very day.

I was 5 when this series came out, so it has become one of my first “Lego experiences” in life. Such a nostalgia… I remember that joy of collecting crystals and various colourful rock monsters…. The sets were brilliant as well. I am 17 now but actually I would not mind to have a couple of these again on my shelf

I think the concept for the third wave was interesting, but the sets’ reliance on “fire and water” gimmicks and related equipment was odd and limiting towards the designs, I wish we got something more like “journey to the center of the earth”, with a massive underground jungle the team would have to venture through.

This was an awesome theme! I remember this theme, Space Police, Atlantis, Pharaoh’s Quest, Agents, etc. There was such a wide range of themes back then. There still are a lot of various themes and different collaborations today in LEGO, but back then was just awesome!

I honestly think the magic of this was how... Simple it was. Miners vs. monsters is a small series of skirmishes. There is so much room for creativity and modularity there.

This theme was so underrated LOL. We need more of these sets.

Personally, I think the third wave was very disappointing. While lime and blue do work well together, it doesn't compare to lime and orange. Plus, lime and orange was THE color scheme to represent Power Miners as a whole, so when they changed it, I was immediately repulsed. The Power Miner outfits were also a let down, they were only in one color and everyone had the same outfit. Felt much more bland compared to the first wave's different, very detailed and personalized designs. But my biggest issue was with the new Rock Monsters. The black color did not look good on them at all and the lack of black on the heads didn't help either. Major step down from the first wave's Rock Monsters.

So in conclusion, I'm honestly not surprised as to why wave 3 did badly

This theme had such an impact on me as a kid that a few years ago, I bought a bunch of them used and gave them to my younger cousins for Christmas so they could get to experience how much fun they were. The Power Miners sets were a hit, and they played with them all Christmas break :) I really miss original Lego themes, they were much more fun back when they weren’t just the latest iteration of Ninjago, which somehow manages to make every new gimmick feel like more of the same.

Power Miners hold a special place in my heart, I still have them built on the shelves of my cupboard. I even looked up some instructions online that mixes two sets together to create something new and it always pleased me to see how good it ended up.

As I was born a year before the theme releasing I wasn’t able to collect any of these sets, I had heard lots over the years about this particular theme and I definitely hope we can get it back one day

As a big fan of Rock Raiders and Life On Mars, it really wasn’t surprising that Lego canceled the line, sales slump or no. Wait a few years and they’ll do another one especially since I don’t think they can fold the industrial mining aesthetic into Ninjago like they did with Exo-Force, Vikings, Knights, Ninjas, and Alpha Team.

The fact that there are still fans hoping to revive the theme makes me want to share my old build which I recently updated for fun (I combined the Stone Chopper, Mine Mech, Granite Grinder, Claw Digger, and Thunder Driller). One of my favourite themes along with Rock Raiders, really wish Lego would make a new successor theme, or at least go back to having more original themes.

I felt like Rock Raiders had much more charm than Power Miners. I preferred the color schemes, monsters, characters, vehicle designs and storyline of Rock Raiders. It's also my favorite theme. I wish they just continued it, but I guess the new take was alright, and the sets were a bit more interesting I suppose.

Power Miners are the best. I have so much of those sets that I will always see one of them when I'm just casually building Lego.
