Daytona USA was a challenge despite it's arcade 'trappings'. Many arcade racers now nanny the player and don't reward good driving. During the 90's and on into the early 00's, driving/racing games across the board were mostly trying to become more realistic, the focus was heavily on handling and physics. Now outside of Gran Turismo/PC sims there's no-one doing that. Whatever the talent level, gaming used to be about getting better through effort, now it's instant gratification or they're bored!?

there is a free (cut down) version of driveclub available to PlayStation Plus subscribers, c'mon guys do your job, apart from that it will be a normal retail game and word on the street is that USB HID wheels will be supported just like on PS3, but X1 seems to be lacking any existing peripheral support, and picking still seem slim for the future

I know, it seems to be a mixture of a few cars, but i would say it most resembles a F2007 from its design.

Need for speed 1 was the most outstanding "simulation" ever made when it came out, nothing came close visually or physics wise.

Unfortunately a lot have changed during its evolution, still a lot of fun to be had though but I would have preferred if it was more like GT5 / FM4 than Burnout...

No, Kimi's Ferrari was #6.
It looks like a recent Ferrari cos of the stripes instead of the tobacco sponsorship, but the only one to bear the #7 lately was Massa in 2010, however the stripes didn't show up on that car. So it's a bit of a frankencar, as far as the stickers go.

You're only hurting yourself if you haven't driven Shift 2 Unleashed with the 1.1 community patch and PTMU physics mod. It may say Need for Speed on the cover, but the engine was overseen by the former managing director of SimBin, maker of GT Legends and the GTR series.

The majority of people bashing Shift 2 did not set their controls up correctly and are either driving with gamepads, or haven't set Speed Sensitivity to 0 in the controller options.

Shift 2 Unleashed is an easy A+ sim engine.

Marlboro branding would suggest that but it has Santander logo on it which came with Alonso and step nose is telling me that should be last year's car. The truth probably is that is not a car from specific year or specific driver because you can't find a right combination of colour, stickers and number.

Good recap video, BTW aren't you guys going to do a video about the GT6 demi GT academy? And please don't tell me the physics feel the same as GT5 cause i tried and is a big difference! Maby you guys should play some gt5 first and that way you'll feel even more the improvements
