This Month Inside Sim Racing -- August 2013

Then we go back in time and take a look at Racing Legends, the sim that almost changed the world.

Then the first half of the show is finished off with a first look at Nascar The Game 2013 by Eutechnyx. This version of the game is now available for the PC.

Second half of the show features a new DIY simrig of the Month and it is one of the finest Death Mobile designs ever.

We also have details for our 2nd annual 120 Minutes of Thunder from the Glen. This year's event will have 3 different car classes and will take place on August 31st.

To top off a huge show we have details on the latest build for iRacing. This build is one of the biggest yet and almost warrants the name iRacing 3.0

I recall this West Racing sim. I too waited for ages for some kind of word on this sim, when I first saw screenshots of the modeled vehicles, I was blown away. They were leaps and bounds ahead of the competition at the time... sadly year after year nothing moved forward and sooner then later their website went down and I couldn't find anyway of finding content about the sim.

We do try to cover all sims. Obviously iRacing is one of our sponsors but it also has the most active community. As the other sims get closer to being fully supported we will cover them more.

At that time there was pretty much only GPL to drive, such a shame that it never got released... If it was even close to the hype it would have been a major milestone.

NR2003 is definitely still strong to this day :D

We even have a community page on facebook called "Sim Racers Garage". And the 230+ members on that page isn't even a fraction of the total existing online league racing community for NR2003.

Yeah I just thought of that after I wrote that comment. Getting drivers will suck for the time being. I have a T500 and CSP v2's and neither have drivers for mac. Bummer... I have been thinking about selling my mac and doing a pc build lately anyway. Definitely get more bang for buck that way.

We run the Gen6 mod, COT mod, NWS11 mod, NNS13 mod, Cup12 mod, DMR NNS13, IndyCar, etc. in nr2003. Great stuff. We still run online leagues, offline leagues, and more. nr2003 is still great.
