Christ, Christmas, and Judaism with Ben Shapiro

Friends, I recently joined Ben Shapiro on his show to discuss the beauty and importance of the Jewish roots of Christianity. It is impossible to make sense of Jesus apart from his Jewishness, or of the New Testament apart from the Hebrew Scriptures.

I admire Ben so much because he gives Catholics a big platform, it says so much about his character ❤

I had the wonderful opportunity of studying Hebrew for 17 years in Dieppe France! It totally enriched my understanding of Catholicism which I converted to 20 years ago Thank you both

As a Jewish Catholic I ofcourse agree, as did Edith Stein, a martyred saint. Our numbers are growing. Happy Christmas all!

Bishop Barron’s enthusiasm when he describes the church’s history is wonderful to see.

Very happy to see Bishop Barron deftly showing Ben how Jesus is the fulfillment of Jewish prophecies. Praying for his eventual conversion. 🙏❤️‍🔥

Dear Bishop Barron, please urge people to pray not only for our Jewish brothers and sisters who deserve peace, but also for our Palestinian Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters who are enduring unimaginable, interminable suffering. A part of our Body of Christ is aching. May God bless you always.

As a former Anglican and new Catholic, I love this! Anglican Bishop and theologian N.T. Wright echoes what Bishop Barron is saying here. I have been interested in Jewish Catholic convert Roy Shoeman. His testimony is astounding, and he has written a book called, "Salvation Is From The Jews". He calls Catholicism "Post-Messianic Judaism".

Wow, yes!! Thank you, Bishop Barron. I am a cradle Catholic, thanks be to God for my parents, and I have, since I was a very young woman, understood that to find a Jewish teacher to teach me the Old Testament was so important to understand our Jesus

This was a wonderful discussion! I converted from Protestantism a few years ago, and was astonished at how little I understood the parallels between the old and New Testaments, and how Jesus truly fulfilled all of the prophecies. I was Presbyterian most of my life, and considered myself a devout Christian, but in actuality I really did not understand hardly any of my faith. Now, I feel so much more grounded in truth, and my Catholic faith answers so many questions I had in such a clear way. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season!❤️

There was a time when I chose to completely study Jesus. No regrets I come back to Jesus everytime. Makes a whole lot of sense to me. Complete love continuously. ❤❤❤😊

These meetings are too short. We need more of these, for much longer durations. Bishop Barron is amazing as always!

Reminds me a bit of this quote:

"When Catholicism goes bad it becomes the world-old, world-wide religio of amulets and holy places and priestcraft. Protestantism, in its corresponding decay, becomes a vague mist of ethical platitudes. Catholicism is accused of being too much like all the other religions; Protestantism of being insufficiently like a religion at all."

I have no words how impressed I am by Benjamin. Conversations like this can only happen in America.
