If you want to get the slime staff, one of the rarest items in the game, just add a slime statue to the set-up! It makes getting one really easy! :) Do consider subscribing for more Terraria Guides and Coverage too!

Hello! Terraria 1.4 update here: The farm no longer works as these statues no longer drop loot when killed by lava! I will experiment and try to find a brand new design! So make sure to look our for it!

For the granite blocks turn them in to smooth granite blocks then turn those into granite tables for 80 copper each

Neat finally a simple design that does require any crazy clearing out of caves and using seeds and all that crazy stuff!

In 1.4 i suggest farming eye of chuthulu and turning the ore into bars and sell all the loot. In about 2-4 fights you get 1 platinum.

To those who are still looking to try to do something similar to this, killing bosses for their loot is far quicker and will net you more gold in less time. However, if you simply want an AFK farm, this strategy is still somewhat viable. I did the exact same setup with granite golems, stood under them, and used lava. However, I also use the Lightning Aura Rod from the Tavernkeep along with an autoclicker to do some damage on my own to still get the drops while AFK. This strategy works very well underground on in the sky, away from potential Goblin Army events if you box yourself in.

This still works though, don't use lava. Try using summoning items, like the blade staff. For starters like me, I use the blade staff, the bewitching table, and the hallowed hood for more minions. The more minions u have, the better. I used full hallowed armor, so I get the dodge effect everytime I hit an enemy, and for some reason, I have 5 minions over my head, maybe because the dodge effect gave my character some shadows (that for some reason gave me 2 extra minions). Oh yeah, and try placing banners so you get more good loot.

skeletons drop 4 things: ancient gold helmets (50 silver) ancient iron helmets (10 silver) bone swords (18 silver + enhancer) and banners (2 silver). I used to play on PC but it broke down, so I use a 2ds, which doesn't have any granite golems or granite, plus, you cant craft statues, you have to find 'em. the bright side is... the 1-second timers cost 50 copper from the mechanic, instead of a whole gold watch :)

i made a mob farm in crimson. got lots of vertebrata bought some crimson spread powder from the driyad (in bloodmoon) made 36 brain of cutucutu sommon item, (in crimson alter) farmed them now i got 25 platinum. with investment of 3 hours. (mastermode)
