Terraria 1.4 Master Mode AFK Money Farm | 1 Platinum every 3 minutes!

How to make a money farm in 1.4 Master Mode, which yields ~1 platinum coin every 3 minutes of AFK.

This is best done in hardmode, but can also be done in pre-hardmode if you want.

I spent about two hours building it but its very worth it I did it near a marble biome so hoplites can spawn giving me even more money.

4:36 you can use normal stone blocks. After that use clentaminator. U can change the biome by doing this. Dont need to place biome blocks. Just place normal stone blocks. And change them with the clentaminator.

This farm is a great design but one thing I don't understand is why you need so much vertical space. Most of the enemies including mimics (the main money source of the farm) spawn on the ground and it would save so much time to make the vertical space small. I also don't understand why the bottom section is needed at all

(edit) I'm so stupid I just realised that the reason there is so much vertical space is so that enemies don't spawn in random caves and chasms and reduce the npc spawn limit thereby reducing the effectiveness of this farm.

Also I suggest putting an artificial jungle biome in the BOTTOM half of the farm as the jungle increases the mob cap and also increases spawn rates which will earn you more money! (Maybe pin this?)

I’ve finished the farm, works fine. I placed water candles, banners and made the top half dark as possible, but its really slow and doesn’t give me the amount of money like the title says. Tips?

Edit: I didn’t read description :/ I did it in hard mode. Why is it better to do it in hardmode though?

Just a warning for people making this pre hardmode.If you did you might not be getting as much money as you would in hardmode because one of the main money sources in this farm is the mimics which are only available in hardmode but this farm is still good for collecting Loot so I still recommend making it.

I followed Happy Day's variant of this, which is basically identical to this, though he had the dart traps hit with an actuator so as to be background objects, and had them at the base of the pyramid, pointing outward. He also added spear traps from I'm assuming the Jungle Temple (I am not 100% sure, I'm no Terraria master, still pretty new). Maybe if I got boulder trap statues, I could include that as well, and have it drop boulders into the kill zone as well, to aid in dealing with things like bats and such.
