Tim they make a "Down Spiral Bit" for cutting plastics or grabby material. It won't lift your fine work up and into the bit it forces the chips and your work down into the table. As always love your stuff man keep rockin.

That is a really cool idea. It seems too cool to do it out of records to give up. If you design tabs around the circle that keep it connected you could cut them out with a knife and do minimal sanding to get them to circle. Maybe that will up your chance of success.

Very cool. A good carbide bit in the cnc router could also handle aluminum if you find some in sheet form

Maybe use a soldering iron clamped in your CNC in place of a cutter to cut the vinyl record

What type of bit are you using in your router? That looks like a tapered upcut bit used for a carvewright cnc. Try a down cut bit for thin highly flexible materials.
