I am the Doctor - An Orchestral Recreation | Jaayms

Woooo first video to YouTube!

I'm trying to get into composing and arranging Orchestral music and I thought a good exercise to get me started would be to recreate a song from one of my all time favorite composers!

Murray Gold's music means so much to me. I grew up watching Doctor Who and it was my favorite show as a kid. I remember getting goosebumps when 'I am the Doctor' played for the first time during 'The Eleventh Hour'.

I genuinely look up to Murray Gold and working on this project really made me appreciate his work even more.

In this video I attempted at recreating 'I am The Doctor' and 'Can I come with you', both from Series 5.

that inclusion of amy's theme was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one; it was getting a 2 for 1 deal, I do wish you built it back up to the finale of the I am the doctor theme, but alas the pairing of the two themes was beautiful

Fun fact: the base notes are that of a Time Lord’s heartbeat. So the drums the Master was obsessing over led to this.
