There's no nursing shortage. There's a decent employer shortage.

This lady is so out of touch with reality. Talking about nurses need more green space to relax when on break or after work. What breaks? Nurses don’t get lunches most of the time much less breaks and after 12+ hours they want to get home as quickly as possible to empty their bladders, eat and not die before doing it over again.

CNAs do the heavy and dirty work and get treated and paid the worst. About to quit after years of work. Tired.

I quit nursing because I did not like the nurse to patient ratio and I worked at 4 different hospitals in my county. If you make a mistake and harm a patient you can be charged with a crime. I worked in ICU and was given 4 patients one shift and the normal ratio should be 1 nurse to 2 patients. I am blessed that my husband has a good paying job so I could retire frrom a profession that is too demanding for someone to do safely. I knew if I stayed in nursing it was just a matter of time before I made a mistake.

Mandated nurse to patient Who gets blamed if something goes wrong? The nurse!!!. The bill was denied earlier this year too.

It was bad 20 years ago when I worked in the hospital setting. One thing that would’ve made some difference I how I was feeling was if the nurse manager would ever say anything productive to her staff like “your doing a good job. Keep up the good job. I understand that we are short staffed “. No encouragement at all from upper management. Staff not helping one another was also a big problem.

This nursing storage is a serious OSHA violation. OSHA should be all over this.

I feel like I made so many good decisions in life- not becoming a nurse is one of them. I almost did go to nursing school. Thank God I live my life I have now.

First pay us better… we do 80% of the work on the floors, and 100% in SNF/Rehab/LTAC and home care. Why are doctors paid do well when the care they give has become less and less…. And our roles get larger and larger…
As a well seasoned RN all of these educated foolish decision makers are laughable 😂😂😂

I am a CNA and I work @ Pruitthealth nursing home in Union City Ga and we have 16 to 18 residents a piece on every shift and the nurses tell us we have to touch every resident before we can go home. It's sad.

If you’re watching this and in the comments, you should be concerned. I’m an ICU nurse. Ask yourself this: who is going to care for you when you’re sick injured or dying? Nursing is a brutal job at times, and if you’re not in California there’s no way it’s worth it. Start contacting your congress persons and let your voice be heard. Say “I don’t feel safe!”

those two male nurses wont stay regular nurses guranteed. most men who enter the field move up fast they will probably try to get into an ICU and try to get into CRNA school or NP school.

The newer graduate nurses r burning out the fastest. Some r barely making it thru training. They leave faster than u can turn ur head.

Stop acting like it’s only nurses. Nurses aren’t the only huge shortage. There’s other jobs in the hospital that help keep the patient alive and well that are short too. Educate yourself and know it’s not just what the media tells you. You really think nurses do EVERYTHING for that patient? Radiology, lab, PT… list goes on and on.

We need hazard pay, lunches, more than one N95 mask to wash and respect. Teachers matter, nurses not so much.

Hospital Administration eats up all of the funding that could go to nurses.

Whats the point of enticing and recruiting new nurses when we can’t even keep our current staff, we need to hear solutions coming from the staff nurses themselves, not CEO’s, DON’s, or politicians…..nurses are never truly heard and if they were we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with
