I didn't hear any answer to the question in the title. I still don't know what Apache Spark is after watching this video.

I remember when I used to see adverts for tampons on TV as a kid, and they would talk about all the features like reduced fluid flow increased comfort etc. And I used to sit there and be like "BUT WHAT IS IT???" and I would ask all the adults and they would just give some vague generic answer and I wanted to rip my hair out. Trying to figure out what Apache Spark is has been exactly the same experience. I have spent literally days researching this an am no closer to an answer. I think I will eventually be forced to conclude that Apache Spark is a tampon.
