Would really like to see pump verified numbers and not just the computer readout. Fuelly is a great way to track everything and get as accurate of a figure as possible.

I got 20.3 on my last tank on my 2022 platinum 4x4 hybrid tundra. I average 20mpg. I have 5500 miles on it. After 1000 miles gas mileage improved. I changed my left side of the dash display to show mpg per trip as well. If you drive in eco seems to kick in the electric motor more. Some trips I get 24mpg….Awesome looking Sequía. Truck computer is more conservative than doing gas mileage manually. I drive a good mix city and highway and of course traffic, goes into hybrid mode a lot in traffic.

Our trd pro sequoia is running at 18.3mph after 5k miles. We drive a good mix of around town, highway and 4x4 on the beach.

Hi Jon, could you please provide some insight as to the capability of being able to sleep in the back of the Sequoia! Maybe you could fold all the seats down, align the rear cargo shelf and lay down in the back demonstrating the available space and also provide some total usable length measurements including your height for reference?
I think this would be interesting to a number of us potential Sequoia owners : )
I understand that the space in the back will not be perfectly flat but that can be adjusted via some customization.

Great job on the video Jon! Thanks for making it. I'm really digging that thing more than I thought I would. You should do a build-out of it for overlanding as well.

19 hwy, 13-17 city for me. Normally drive in Eco, but I live on a hill. Pretty much expected this and no real complaints so far. The TRD Pro Roof Rack is noisy at high speeds. Sport Mode is almost too fast if you are not on the highway.

Great video, Jon, much appreciated. I was pleased to see you comment on the quiet nature of the Sequoia's cabin. We're currently in a 2020 TRD Pro 4Runner - - curious how you feel the TRD Pro Sequoia exhaust compares to the drone of the TRD Pro 4Runner. Is the cabin considerably quieter while driving? Really enjoy the content - thanks!

Ive seen another review or two and the mpg have also been lower than stated on the sticker - which is not uncommon for a gas engine when you drive it like a normal person and not feather footing it. Actually, the only folks that seem to consistently beat the sticker mpg are those driving the 3.0 Duramax in pickups and the SUV’s with same engine typically get the stated mpg only.

Feather foot, grandma style just cruising from one red light to the other I can get 23 mpg in ECO mode on my 4x2 Limited Sequoia (bought what was available 3 monnths ago, 3, 000 miles driven). Got 18 mpg on Sport mode. You can play around with the pedal and brake to force the battery max gauge to work while cruising at max speed of 45.

18.6 for me after 1200 miles, but pump verified actually 20.1. I drive a bit heavy footed on ramps and getting up to speed, but pretty chill outside of that. Seems that every video I’ve seen where they checked the truck monitor vs real world has all shown the real world to be better.

My 08 5.7 gets 18.9 mpg driving at 65 mph when I travel 2.5 hours highway to my second house.

This weekend I was cruising at 65 with 8 adults loaded in - comfortably - for a day trip to Busch gardens - and I got 16.5-17 mpg.

The higher mpg advertised for the third gen is for the RWD.

I’d take a 15 mpg Toyota over a 25 mpg ford or GM any day of the week.

However…for a big vehicle we can’t expect good mpg.

Ford and GM advertise it but they’ve also been sued and fined for customers not getting anywhere near the advertised mpg.

You plan to sell this sequoia or no?

I can’t get higher than 19 on my TRDPro and that was driving 65 - 70. Grrrr

My understanding is that the different trims didn’t get different mileage ratings. Blame the tow mirrors! Hahaha 😅

Waiting for some people to change wheels so I can scoop in a buy one of the stock pro's wheels from them for my spare, matchy matchy

Damn. That’s what i’m getting with my Honda Pilot. 😭😭😭 18.3 isn’t bad for such a big car/truck! And with it being less than 1k miles, it will only get better.

I get high 14mpg on my trundra with 9k miles 18mpg sounds great to me

I saw an army green one in the use car lot near my house. It's not on a Toyota lot though but a Chevy used lot lol.

Thats not too bad, considering the low is 19. Plus, once you factor in the break-in period (1k miles), the MPG's tend to get a bit better.

The mpg will most likely not get any better unless she starts to hypermile. One thousand miles is plenty for the average to stabilize with ones driving habits. You have to wonder how much of an fuel mile advantage does the hybrid system on a Sequoia really give over a hypothetical "non hybrid" version. I am willing to bet the yearly fuel cost would only be marginally better and if your state has the added registration fee for a hybrid vehicle that savings would be further cut. Would be nice to see a real world 25mpg city Sequoia hybrid, that would make it more appealing, especially with our current fuel prices.
