19 taco sport 4x4 36, 560 miles averaging 23.8 mpg combined. 60% city miles. I buy gas at same station all year here in Midwest. Mpgs drop in winter to 21 but in summer over 25. All stock and happy

My 2019 Tundra gets 16-17 mpg on highway driving. I inflate the tires 3 PSI over the recommendation and also have a Roll-n-Lok cover on my bed. That extra drag of an open bed makes a small difference but it adds up.

Bruhhh you were driving 75… i did this exact same test… but drove 65 for a tank… then 70. Got upwards of 20-22 mpg… speed definitely matters not only that but Cali’s varying elevations too.

Damn. My Tacoma gets 20-21 and I'm rarely on the highway. Are you towing something?

Take the battery cables off and than reinstall and it will reset and give accurate gas mpg readings.

On average it gets right about 20mpg on the highway and that doesn't matter if Im going 75 or 85mph. The sweet spot is around 60mph you can achive 26mpg and if you draft another vehicle you can get 32mpg.

The city is right around 18mpg average for me.

I drive mine primarily in rolling hills Midwest suburbia. I’ve figured it the old fashioned way as well as letting the Taco do it and it’s been about the same. I average 19-20. I do better at 65-70 highway travel get less at 75 mph on the Interstate.

This is interesting — I use GPS on my phone and I’ve noticed about a some difference between the GPS speed and that indicated by the speedometer, which generally indicates I’m getting 19 to 21 mpg. Now, I’m wondering . . . . .

I've got 25mpg on flat Kansas highway with no wind driving at 65mph!

Wow, you must have a lift, larger wheels and tires am guessing. My 2023 TRD Off-Road, Steel skid plates front to back, rock sliders...no changes to suspension or wheels yet and got 23.1mpg with the bed fully loaded on an 8 hour all highway drive across the mountains to the southern part of the state. Offroad got 17.4mpg in 4wd 1/4 of the time across 230 miles. So am not sure what the big difference is for yours if it isn't wheels and tires?

Also the speed and the weight you had on the truck at that time. You have to go like 5 less then speed limit and have little to no extra stuff in the bed.

The mpg calculated by my 2012 Ford Taurus does not match a calculator which I figure is more accurate. Regardless, it get 26 mpg combined.

I don’t drive above 65 mph, I get 25-26 miles to the gallon. Also drive strictly in manual
