Another Pointless iPhone 16 Pro Max Review | Worst One Yet? | TSW214

Reviewing Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max after one week, without any of the AI features, so what's the point? That's the only new stuff, besides the Camera Button, which is the button equivalent of genital herpes. The iPhone 16 Pro Max may be my least favourite Apple smartphone in a while, which is really saying something, so here's my early verdict. Stay tuned for a fuller review when Apple Intelligence is actually a thing!

The camera produces crowd-pleasing results most of the time, although the zoom lens and ultra-wide struggle in low light as usual. But the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still one of the best phones for shooting video. Unfortunately that new button is oddly placed and slower to use than the old on-screen controls. So why even bother using it?

Performance is solid enough, with only occasional small judders in Genshin Impact and other testing games. The iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery life is fine, offering around six hours of play between charges if you don't go heavy on it. As for iOS 18, well, it's not as buggy as some previous releases but the camera is a bit quirky still. But at least your desktops are customisable now!

Every other apple fanboy tech yter just thinks it's a great phone when this is just a S iterative update. With the software updates coming on the old iPhones but end of year if not next year

Uncle Spurt - nice new studio/office. I fear the booze cabinet is a tad on the small size though. You could put your books in the booze cabinet and have a boozeshelf instead, 🍻

The cracks are starting to really show for Apple this year. Apparently the camera button being a touch sensor is causing issues with the actual touch screen of the phone. Great job guys 👏

Apple absolutely deserves the crap they are getting for the iPhone 16 release. It was and is such a shitty way to suck every last dollar out of their customers. iPhone 16 built for the ground up for AI….except it doesn’t come with AI and will only be rolled out in stages slowly running into next year, iPhone 16 regular best iPhone ever according to Apple…except they are charging $800 and up for the regulars with 60 hz whereas android phones are 120 hz for the same price…..adding a camera button no one asked for…..such a idiotic release.

The SE 4 will launch in 25 of March retailing for $499.99 in US. It’ll basically have the same features as the16 with a scaled back version of the 18 processor with less AI features.
