Democracy at its best: honey bee swarms

Here is a short video that The BeeGroup @ VT produced for 2017 Hokie Bug Fest. In it, we show clips of honey bee swarms, highlighting waggle dance communications for new nest sites. Swarms are highly democratic, and once quorum (majority) is reached, everyone travels to the new home, even the bees that might have originally preferred elsewhere.
