My favorite is the one President Reagan once told about a guy who was in a car wreck on an interstate, and as he was lying there in pain with a broken back and leg, the country sheriff drives up and gets out of his car to help him. The sheriff said he could have gotten there faster on his horse, but the horse had two broken legs and was kicking and neighing in pain, so the sheriff took his gun put it up to the horses head and put it out of its misery...He said his dog had a cracked back and was whimpering, so he took his gun and did the same thing with the dog...Then he knelt down to guy on the interstate and said "Now how are you feeling?"

Gets me every time.

One thing is certain. When Reagan spoke the world listened. There was no doubting his words. It didn’t take long for the hostages to be released when he took office. He was a PRESIDENT, not the crap we have now.

This is what an American President is supposed to conduct themselves. President Raegan was an amazing leader and he loved the founding core principals of this country more than anything. He was like a parental figure to many people. You’ll hear lots of stories about how he went out of his way to make people laugh and smile. A man who had power used it for the common good. That’s what an American president is supposed to be. There will never be another like him. RIP President Raegan ❤

My grandfather would always tell jokes just like this. In the same loving, caring, semi-mischievous tone. It was always so funny but even if it wouldn’t have been, anyone that heard it would have the biggest smile just listening. I miss our papa Ed

I had the privilege to aid with security when Reagan spoke in Hooper, Utah circa 1981. After his speech, I approached him as he entered the black limo. A moment of eye-contact with both of us giving thumbs-up won't be forgotten!
