This video tutorial provides a basic introduction into 30-60-90 triangles. It explains how to find the value of the missing side of other triangles using the 30-60-90 reference triangle. This information is useful for high school and college students studying geometry and trigonometry and for students studying the SAT math and ACT math sections. This tutorial contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

If you guys don't get it, here is a simpler way:

Let the side across the 30 degree angle have a side length of x.

Let the hypotenuse be 2x, and let the side across the 60 degree angle be x times sqrt(3).

Using algebra, you can find different side lengths by having one. For example, if the hypotenuse of a 30-60-90 triangle is 54 units long, the side across the 30 degree angle is 27 units, and the remaining side length is 27 sqrt(3).

The 45-45-90 video you did a great job. For this one, it got confusing. There were some points you may have missed mentioning.

Dear Organic Chemistry Tutor,

I love you. Thanks for everything <3
I appreciate everything you've done for us. Im gonna take the UPCAT this August 11. I only have ten days left to review.
I did some review in this past month and the previous but I always felt that it was lacking so I always watch your vids to improve my math instict. I really hope I pass the UPCAT. The University of the Philippines is my dream university. I will be facing the greatest challenge of my life thanks to the knowledge you are giving to me. I'm now more confident.

I'll update you guys after I take it:>>

quarantine got these public teachers even worse than they was before,
my teacher fr don't even explain anything good he just gives us a video of some random asian lady who can barely speak english trying to explain math
and then gives us an worksheet he didn't even make

I couldn’t keep up at first because of the difference in the way this was taught to us but this seemed to give me a more better understanding and in a new perspective and I’m now not solely relying on formulas but on critical thinking. Thank you

My initial confusion before coming to this with no prior knowledge is the x, which I thought there was a variable, but, I come to find out that's it multiplication. THX

Around 3:26 you mention going 30 to 60 and having to multiply by square root three but the triangle calls for a 60 to 30 so wouldn’t you actually divide by square root three and get 12 instead of 36?

I'm super confused how do you know when to use 90 - 30, 30 - 60 and such in the triangles.

Hi JM, i know that this is pretty old since posting, but hoping you can explain. around 6:03 you have one side 24 units, that's longer than the hypothenus. Please if possible, respond. PS. like your videos.
