This is my last full ride in Turkey already, I can't believe how fast it has gone by. As I approach the border with Iraq, there are more and more checkpoints, something that will happen a lot more in the coming time.

Special thanks to the Turkish army and police forces who have given their lives to keep those mountains safe and clean for everyone and doing their best. I am glad that Noraly was a witness.

I was in Türkiye at this summer with my father. We did 6500 kilometers in two weeks. At first we were afraid of the police officers and the soldiers but everytime when they stopped us, they were kind and gave us water and food. Türkiye is a nice place to visit with motorcycles. The roads are also in very good condition. Greetings from Hungary!

I was kind of shocked and disappointed to hear that this would be the final ride in Türkiye. That Noraly was served an actual slice of honeycomb for breakfast sums up my feeling that this country, that I had little (and wrong) perceptions of, before, is now a place I hold in high regard. I am really blown away at the color and rock formations you have been riding through.Also the ancient history of Turkey. From the time when parts of what is now Turkey were conquered by the Seljuq dynasty, the history of Turkey spans the medieval history of the Seljuk Empire, the medieval to modern history of the Ottoman Empire, and the history of the Republic of Turkey since the 1920s. Especially for an American like me with such a short history! This is the part I don’t know you have done by expanding our knowledge of human history and how vast it was and deep it really is. Thank You!
