In the Avatar comics, after the ending of Avatar - The Search where Yu Dao becomes its own independent city, we fast forward to the present where the city is holding a council meeting with many of the worlds leaders, including Team Avatar
As An emissary from the Earth Kingdom is giving a lecture on the ancient theories of government, Team Avatar find themselves extremely bored and pay no attention until Zuko overhears the word FAMILY
He asks the professor to repeat that last part and he explains that treating your own family with dignity allows a ruler to govern his nation with dignity
Zuko takes this to heart and when he returns home, brings his sister Azula to visit their father in prison
He tries to bring in tea for the both of them but Azula grabs the tray with her teeth, and flings it on the ground as Ozai looks on with a smirk on his face
Ty Lee and Suki come to Zuko’s aid and chi block Azula, who falls to the ground and rambles incoherently on some mysterious person
Zuko then mentions that he brought the tea to lend a little dignity but Azula says if he truly wants dignity he would let them speak to each other privately
Surprisingly, Zuko agrees and allows them half an hour to talk privately since he knows Azula is his best chance of finding his mother

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

I could be seeing things, the Earth Kingdom Emissary look like Confucius.
And his speech about family and dignity and proper way to govern sounds like something Confucius would say.

Azula, like Ozai, deserved to have her bending permanently removed, especially since she is a product of a psychopath and has proven time and again, even before she went mental, that she was beyond saving, choosing immoral and unethical madness over compassion and reasoning.
