I personally think that if we are gardeners or in some ways linked to nature, we should try to be sustainable in every aspect of our life to be true to our belief’s and preserve the environment.

By making your own cleaning products you reduce not only the amount of single use packaging but also the risk of releasing dangerous chemicals in the environment.

There is power in numbers, and you can start making a difference today! It is not a challenge on trying to be perfect, we just need to be better!

LAUNDRY DETERGENT INGREDIENTS:

1 x Cup baking soda
1/2 x cup of salt
1 x cup Castille soap
30 x drops lemon essential oil
14 x cups hot water
1 x Big size jug

MULTIPURPOSE SPRAY INGREDIENTS:

1 x glass container with lid
1 x bottle distilled white vinegar
20 x drops essential oils
Herbs, citrus slices or lavender
1 x spray bottle

FRUIT & VEG WASH INGREDIENTS:

1/2 x cup apple cider vinegar with mother
1/2 x cup lemon juice
1/2 x cup water
2 x Tsp baking soda

Just a piece of information, baking soda and vinegar cancel one another so use either but not both (you can check the effect on germs oneminmicro)

Hey, I dare you to try using mustard powder as a dish cleaning agent, you would be AMAZED at how good it is, I promise! It dissolves fats SOOO quickly and thoroughly, it's just great! Frying pan and especially plastic containers, you know how it's really hard to clean a fat layer from such containers with dish soap sometimes? I guarantee, the problem is non-existent when using mustard powder.
