Thevenin Theorem
Statement:
Any two terminal bilateral linear active dc circuit can be replaced by an equivalent circuit consisting of a voltage source and series resistor.

Methods of finding Rth for circuit having dependent sources with/ without independent sources :
1.Find VOC by conventional network analysis and then short the load terminals and find short circuit current ISC through short circuit terminals.

Rth = 𝑽𝑶𝑪/𝑰𝑺𝑪

2.Remove RL and apply a dc voltage Vdc at open circuit load terminals then deactivate other independent V.S/C.S and find current Idc from load terminals due to Vdc.
