PhD student advice for first year. At the beginning of my PhD it was a bit difficult to know what to do and where to get started. Along the way I have figured out a lot of useful activities, and why it would be a good idea to do these things early on in your PhD. So I am sharing them with you! I am sharing 20 things you should do early in your PhD, however, if you are later stage you might still find something that you haven't done yet and may want to consider. I really hope this will be helpful to anyone in any stage of the PhD or if you are considering doing a PhD.
