Great review, Terry!!! I have ‘em both and agree with you 100%. The original Action 3 I received had the focus issue, but DJI replaced it. The new camera with all the firmware updates is fantastic.

A lot of misinformation here.
Gopro 11 uses 8:7 not 8:9 sensor

5:22 GP uses f2.5 and DA3 uses f2.8. What you mentioned is the sensor size. You cannot adjust the aperture thus using ND is the only way to limit that shutter speed

Amazing comparison! I think DJI is a really dangerous contender for GoPro. The Action 4 might be the nail in the coffin once they fix the focus distance issue. Dji really wins when it comes it UI on the Action 3 device. As an action cam, simplicity and IQ is very important.

I'm hoping Sony sends you the new Xperia 1 V phone. I would love to see your review since you're an A7IV guy just like me. love the camera but just wish there was no crop at 4k/60. I shoot lowrider videos and slow motion is a must so I need that 4k60

Why does the GoPro battery die just sitting around for a few days. I use min maybe once a week and it drives me nuts that it’s down to 50% when I fire it up after charging it the week before.

I just ordered one of these. I was using an akaso and the sound was god awful and the field of view too narrow. I’ll be using this on a helmet mount for mountain biking. 👍👍

The Go Pro is great until it locks up, freezes for no reason at all, overheats, or just decides not to work for no reason at all. All of those have happened to me. Bye bye Go Pro.
