What payment method do you use in stores? Card, cash, Apple Pay, or checks?? 🤔 I’ve been holding onto that card for dear life!!! It takes me a while to get on board with things okay?! 😭 I use Apple Pay to make online purchases but shamefully had to ask someone how to use it in the wild this year because I don't get out much! I felt ancient.

I’m gen z but personally I choose to stick with cash because it makes me way more aware of my bad spending habits 😭

As a gen Z who works in retail, always make sure you have a card or cash on you! The card reader won’t always take Apple Pay or tap. There are still card readers out there that don’t even have the ability to and corporate will always tell us, “you’ll get that option soon!” but that day never comes. Believe me, we hate it too!

I use a debit card. I think cards are easier to use than Apple Pay and I’m a gen z

It's very true that we all become our parents eventually, in one way or another! 😉

I'm a 35 year old millennial and still use my checkbook or cash! I've turned into my parents 😂

Edit: My goodness, one and two months later and a few people are leaving recent rude comments. No reason at all for it. It is my choice how I pay for goods. I'm an old fashioned human, that's all ☺️ And always mindful of not holding others up. Can we be kinder to one another?

And then she can’t use Apple Pay because she never added her card 💀 cards are the easiest way with cash as a close second but I’d like to see a reason to carry a checkbook in 2023 😂

100% use my card. I don't have any mobile pay set up on my phone. It's always debatable when I go into stores if they'll even have it or if it will work. Honestly the only place I see people consistently use mobile pay is Starbucks 😅

As a millennial, I am a huge fan of cash. Secondly, my card. There are already too many people going thru my phone. Facebook, Google Ads, unnamed government organizations. It gives me peace of mind to be able to draw the line somewhere, even if it's a false sense of peace.

Meanwhile here’s me being the only one in my family that uses cash to pay for everything other than my bills 😂

As an older gen z— I write checks… but the trick is to fill out everything beforehand and then write the amount in when you’re being checked out. So that way you aren’t taking up anyone’s time. Learned that one from my boomer mom.

Oh, this brings back memories! Pizza night was always so much fun at my house because we will get delivery. My siblings and I would fight over who got to run the check out to the delivery person. Also, I can remember going to stores and they would have to roll over the credit card to be able to take the information.

Literally me when they first started installing the tap your card method in all stores. I felt like a 90 year old with an IPhone.
