I’ve been a mechanic at a marina for 10 years. I’ve seen a lot of people get their first boat. This is a lot more accurate than you would think.

I feel like the Midwest at some point gained sentience and that’s how we got Charlie.

As a kid my friends dad would always put twice the recommended hp motor on his pontoon. Easy to pull two water skiers👍🏻. You betcha.

I love a pontoon on a calm lake!!! Heaven, it's like having a little island of your own! LOL!

As someone who works at Bennington Pontoons, I'm glad you enjoy your boat

I'm from Tas, Austalia and just love Charlie. Brigtens my day. So relateable...even from all the way over here.

As a speedboat owner, I just realized—it’s true—pontoon folks do wave more 😂

Love these vids! Im living in the Pacific Northwest and the longer im out of the Midwest, the more homesick i get. These videos make my heart rest a bit easier.

Special thing about Charlie- the comments to his videos are mostly in good spirits. Read a twitter feed and comments are often very negative. Thanks for bringing out the good in us Charlie!

Bigger the boat smaller the retirement is an understatement!!! 😂 so true, my coworkers blow through money and have nothing saved up but have toys out the wahzoo!

The wave is so accurate. I’m an absolute introvert, but put me on a boat and I’ll wave at everyone on sight

That upside down life jacket seat is the best way to chill in the lake

Hilarious. My Uncle from PA drives his boat with one knee on the seat. Took me back to my young days when I saw that. Good times!

Turning towards them bc they didn’t wave back is the most Midwest move ever. Not mad, just assume they didn’t see you 😂

The bigger the boat, the smaller the retirement. Fact!
The two happiest days in a boat owner's life. The day they buy their boat and the day they sell their boat.

In 1974 I was an 11 year old on my grandpa's pontoon and I had a "Punchy" Hawaiian Punch beach towel and the wind blew up and it flew into the water and sunk slowly into the murk of Wolf Lake, in southern Michigan. Fifty years of my life have been informed by a recurring dream where I'm 11 again and I fly off the pontoon raft with the Punchy towel into the murk of the lake, and pike and blue gills and perch (NO WALLEYES SORRY CHARLES) swim around me, and I'm finally happy.

Glad you left the outtake with the cold water in 😂

Lesson number one… wave at anything that moves!

Grew up spending the weekends during the summer cruising a lake on a pontoon. One of my best memories.
