Thanks for the super easy to follow demonstration. I plan to use it for tracing individual wires from an 8-pin connector under my dash of my vintage car and out to their "terminations" at various relays, fuses, switches, etc.. Your demonstration starting that the 2:00 mark is what I needed to see to feel confident such a tracer will be useful. Most instructions I see online and on YT indicate you need to clip BOTH alligator clip to something - like clipping the red alligator to +12V at the battery or something. If all the various tracers work the way you show at 2:00, then I'll buy one and go with it.. Thanks again.

A short circuit is an electrical circuit that allows a current to travel along an Unintended path. An Open circuit is when there is No continuity within a wire. Continuity is the continuing of conduction within a wire or circuit. This device will find continuity or Open circuit, depending upon the setting.

I saw that you attached the black gater clip to the wire but why wasn't the red gater clip attached to anything?

Great video thanks brother. I have a power Probe and it's been very handy. They have a tool like that one you have but it's pricey. The options for everyone today is great unlike when I was doing the work. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother

May be a silly question but do you need both parts for it to work? I found the receiver part on the side of the road but it didn't have the box. Not getting power to my trailer plug on my truck and don't have a multimeter

Sound is activated way to far from the wire to be useful. It would clearly still sound off after a break as it will still be hearing the tone on the other side of the break?
