The easiest pet reptiles to keep are often the most rewarding species. For example, Blue tongue skinks are really big skinks but not really big animals and easily managed for most keepers even without a ton of reptile keeping experience. If you're looking for an easy snake to keep, they don't get less difficult than corn snakes and a lot of North American colubrids like other rat snakes and King snakes. California Kingsnakes are a great example of this! African Fat-Tailed geckos make great pets and are much smaller than the BTS lizards! African Fat Tailed geckos are cute, small and eat very well on easily found insects. Frogs can make very easy captives too. Whites Tree Frogs, sometimes called Dumpy Tree Frogs or Australian Tree Frogs are really great for keepers looking for an easy, low maintenance pet frogs. These big tree frogs might be the best pet frogs you could ever keep! Lastly, Crested geckos are super easy! Eating a powdered diet and having really easy care requirements! Even similar geckos like Chahoua geckos or gargoyle geckos fit the bill as easy geckos to care for!

I'd love to know what hair products you use 😆 loved seeing Irwin back in action after his winter nap. His little legs sticking out at the beginning of the video were just so adorable. cresties require more attention if you dont have an automatic mister or the ambient humidity in the room is not good enough. mine developed shed problems bc I forgot to mist her for a while and lost her ability to climb vertically. I put moss in her cage (she is obsessed with the moss) and she has gained back her ability to climb 120 degree angles. when I got her (I was 11), I wasn't aware that they should go in a vertical cage. if she can prove to me that she can climb 85 degree angles, then I will save up the funds to get her a tall cage bc there is no point in getting her new space that she cant use.

Blue tongues are cool, but i feel like i can never have one as a pet because i find them in my backyard and that kinda ruins the magic for me

umm.. house geckos and wall geckos are easier than any of these... can live without UV, heat, minimal food, almost/no maintenance (I mean you might not want to do that to them, but), can feed them almost anything (house flies, mealworms, maggots, bugs from around your house, hatchling geckos, etc), forget about em for a week as long as they have some moisture, impossible to keep from breeding, etc..

I uh think I'll get crucified but I don't really recommend reptiles to people when I talk to people about pets. Especially snakes for the feeding and lifespan alone.
