Few movies can bring my husband to tears. This story touched both of us.  What a miraculous story of survival, courage, and family love.

And now we see why Tom Holland is SUCH a phenomenal actor- Everyone in this film truly blessed the real humans that they are portraying but I stand in awe

I cried several times watching this. That gaping hole in her leg, have mercy that was so hard to see.
I loved how Lucas handled the unfortunate situation by helping others. It was also touching to see the middle brother take on the leadership role for the youngest of the brothers. God bless them all

She's such a brave and strong woman! She's truly my hero! She's so beautiful inside and out.

Let's make something clear: The Tsunami was a big tragedy of proportions beyond comprehension.... around 300, 000 people lost their lives and so many other were somehow destroyed physically, emotionally, economically or all together. So, in that context, facing such a terrible event and surviving it, not only yourself but all your family - 3 little kids from ages 5 to 10 involved - is a real blessing! And is sometimes in those dark moments when humans are able to show some.... humanity. Regards!

Maria doesn’t claim bravery, but she is a avery strong woman. And Naomi really nailed it. Brilliant intuitive performance. I live in Thailand and the 2004 Tsunami still haunts the Thai people’s collective psyche. Like a 9/11 from nature.

Watching this movie as a mother, especially a mother of boys, was excruciating

I agree - Naomi is an incredible actress and I am totally "In" the movie whenever she acts :)  She made this movie 10 times more believable and real than anyone else I feel

This interview went above and beyond a movie review. I was deeply affected and nourished by both the conversation and the interviewer's questions. Thank you Maria for being who you are and also thanks to the interviewer who knew which questions were important to ask. I hope a lot more people see this

She is physically beautiful, and her English is beautiful as well as her story.
