using big actors gives it more coverage. Mari has said in lots of interviews she didnt want them to mention the nationality as it was a universal experience

because some kids were left orphaned after the tsunami. I can only imagine the nightmares & post traumatic stress disorders survivors are still going through now. :-( Yes, Naomi Watts was excellent in this film. Ewan McGregor and the boys who played their sons were excellent. Even the blond haired boy from another family was great, too. Lots of good acting. Many vulnerable, heartwrenching, cringe-inducing, powerful scenes in this film. More people should watch this film.

Naomi Watts is incredible. The movie is so real, I literally felt the physical pain while watching it. The family is unbelievably lucky. So glad to hear the family has been doing well.

One hell of a great movie, incredible actors and acting. It touched me deep simply because I lived 2 years in Thailand, I had planned to go for a vacation where the Tsunami struck but been called to work in Peru instead, I visited Khao Lak after the disaster, talked to real people who lived hell on Dec 26, 2004. I could feel the pain of every acting scene of the movie. I don't know why I am still alive while 284 000 died that morning... it was not my day. Anyways this is a fantastic and touching movie that receives a BIG 10/10 from me. Cheers and appreciate life as much as you can.

Naomi Watts is a very good actress. And even if the tsunami happened 16 years ago we need to remember all the people who died this day 🙏 may their souls rest in peace

I agree with you, Marie. This film is one of the best films I've seen. It's a very powerful, gutwrenching, emotional, intense, visceral, deep, memorable, intense film. More people should watch this film. It's not for the faint of heart. I felt like I was going through physical & emotional pain, suffering, & heartbreak & struggling with the actors/actresses in this film. Your heart is

This movie was really good. When u talk about dogged perseverance, determination, grit & real love... This is a movie that personifies that! It was soooo touching.. Those 3 precious boys made it all worth while. Even Daniel, being reuinited with his dad & Lucas helping the Father find his son.. Humanity, kindness & compassion isn't dead.

I remember the Southeast Asian tsunami in 2004. I remember when I donated a lot of money to help tsunami victims & survivors during that time. Most of my relatives live in Thailand, but not in the Phuket region where the tsunami took its toll. Some of my relatives did physically go to Phuket region to help out tsunami survivors. I also donated to a Phuket orphanage,
