That moment between Rex and Ahsoka in the series finale is among one of my top favorite moments in the entire show! Just shows how dynamic his and Ahsoka's personalities are. In all honesty, if I was a Jedi, I wouldn't go out of my way to kill the very men I once fought alongside even if they turned on me.

From my perspective, Rex's transient resistance to order 66 deserves to be highly rewarded. Clones are programmed and supposed to execute Jedi. However, commander Rex was able to reject order 66 for a few seconds. This behavior was really rare among clones. When the order was in, Cody and other commanders executed order 66 without hesitation.

I just realized that the light grey markings on Rex’s helmet in the last episode of the clone wars look like tear marks.
