The Trinity: Can We Defend it Biblically?

Every cult and false religion challenges the Trinity and a lot of Christians don't have answers. This will be a simple but detailed examination of how we support the Trinity with the Bible AND how to answer 7 of the typical questions that generally stumble Christians on the topic of the Trinity.

Great Trinity Debate! I only recommend this debate if you can follow the arguments thoughtfully. Dr. White and Dr. Brown did fantastic and demonstrated the truthfulness of the Trinity thoroughly.

Not everyone asks these questions in a condescending way, some of us ask these questions because we are desperate to learn and understand our faith and to be able to explain the doctrine to others. But when I try to converse with a fellow Christian by asking these questions, I get a condescending response as if I’m just a skeptical agnostic/atheist or something. I wish we could talk about this without condescension..

You cannot imagine how much this helped me with my faith.
I’ve been searching for the deity of Christ for these few months and struggled a lot to see that in the Scripture.
I didn’t know about the Sharp rule and I started to get more and more confused.
God used this video to show me the deity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit very clearly.

I think it's healthy to attack your own doctrine to a certain degree to measure its weight and your ability to defend it. I feel like doing this would help our community discourse as Christians so that we would lean not on our own understanding, but come to an agreement together for accountability.

I grew up LDS, and I really appreciate your videos, showing me what it says in the Bible (and the Bible alone). It's difficult at times to sort through truth vs falsehoods that I was taught. I feel like I've totally started over as a baby Christian, and it's taken some time, but I'm OK with that.

You started by explaining the “doctrine of the trinity” according to a pre-conceived belief or idea, then attempted to find verses in the Bible that support your doctrine. That is not how the Word of God should be read. Reading it this way can be used to prove almost anything you’ve set out to prove. Instead, you should read the Bible as a whole to find out what God wants to tell us about who He is. Not what you want Him to be according to your pre-conceived ideas. If you have to rely on outside human authors like James White to explain a doctrine that is not clearly explained in the Bible, you are misleading yourself and many others who listen to you. Unless James White, and others like him, received a revelation from the Most High directly, their books and words can tell us NOTHING about who God REALLY IS. The “Word of God” became flesh in order to tell us everything we need to know about who or what God is. No other outside sources are needed. You later claim that you believe the entire Bible and claim that Jesus is not the Son of God, but God himself. By doing so, you are turning God and His Son into liars! Nowhere in the entire Bible are the words ‘God the Son’ or ‘God the Holy Spirit’ mentioned. It’s almost always God the Father. The doctrine that you are teaching is NOT mentioned or explained by any apostle or disciple of Messiah. The trinity doctrine is a man-made philosophical abstraction meant to confuse people and turn a true relationship with our Creator into worshipping of an incomprehensible impersonal deity. We worship a REAL LIVING Heavenly Father, not a triune being with multiple personality disorder.

Just found you and as an ex Muslim I cannot thank you enough. I had questions about the Trinity and worshiping Jesus and God answered me personally.
Therefore I did not have the theology behind it just that God answered me.
This is the single most common attack that Muslims direct at ex Muslims accusing us of Shirk or polytheism.

The doctrine of trinity is completely out of teaching of Bible.We have only one God manifested himself in the flesh.That is why Jesus is called everlasting father in the book of Isaiah9:6

52:22 but the concept of the Trinity is actually not in the Bible at all. Man came up with that a twisted scriptures; the Apostles didn't teach that. The Trinity is a 4th century teaching, which the understanding of what y'all consider orthodox Trinity teaching, was developed over years and years.

The Bible teaches that God is 1, not 3. We need to use old testament as well as new. The Jewish people are not wanting to convert because it goes right against the Bible teachings that God is one.

There is distinctions between the Father and Jesus, but this doesn't prove Trinity. The old testament pattern shows that God manifests Himself in many ways, fire, cloud, firey-bush, 4th person in fire, but the Bible says correctly says no one ever seen God, because we're looking at forms He chose to take on.

God is so powerful, it's a limitation to think that God has to be 3 and need conversation of the other persons to do things. "Son of man" is to show that He truly took on humanity. The Father was manifested into flesh and His name was Jesus. God is still God so He is still everywhere, but He chose to reveal Himself through humanity and live with us.

God as been called many things in the Bible. Jehovah... Jireh, Rapha, Nissan, Shalom, Sabaoth, and more. God is also call Jehovah Jehoshua, which is God our Salvation, aka Jesus in Greek.

God has always been viewed as just 1 despite what He is to us or what name we used. Was the Bible says, there is one Father and creator of us all. We don't deny the divine nature of Jesus because we recognize who's being manifested through the flesh, the 1 God.

There's much I wish I had time to write to better show this. I pray that all who read this would just pray and read the Bible for what it says from old testament 1st to new testament without predetermined ideas so God can reveal Himself as He is. We, even I, must not be closed-minded. How else will God give us anything if we're closed?
