How to unlock your CPU hidden cores

You would see a noticeable speed increase with your extra cores. For gaming CPU and Graphics card are the key components. Long term- as long as you have good cooling and your cpu doesnt overheat then nothing will happen.

Its usually the delete key. but when your first screen comes up in the corner it should say what key. try delete, f11 and f12. it may vary on what motherboard you have.

it won't on "oem boards". they don't support it generally. the other thing is it's a luck of the draw with the cpus. they often disabled bad cores to make lower end/lesser core models. they also disabled good cores when the demand for lower end cpus called for it. those are the cpus to hope for. i have the athlon ii 450 and it was unstable. after building my brother's budget gaming rig with an athlon ii 650 (3.2ghz, x4, 2mb), i can vouch there's a minimal performance increase.

I have a Asus Essentio CM1730-1, been wanting to upgrade the AMD Athlon II X2 220 to a x3 or x4. Then I heard about unlocking cores and decided to look into it instead of spending money on a new processor. Turns out I can't do it on this OEM board and with the current processor :(. Guess I'll just have to spend money on upgrading the processor.

Your cpu will get really hot but you will be good. Hahaha.

ou have problem 100% cpu and i have but fix it press ctrl+shift+esc and search for process svchost and end proces and your cpu have be 1%
