I think your best grow is that onions in the rectangular container, l cannot believe how well they did, a lot better than my onions in the ground 😊😊

Those onions look amazing and such a lovely tomato harvest.

I read that the tomato splitting was also due to inconsistent watering. Some of ours did that, they still tasted fine though :)

Melbourne Australia, out cleaning up after gale force winds for a week or more, luckily my veg seeds were protected, butter beans ready to plant, peas looking good, 9 varieties of tomatoes, 15 varieties of lettuce somehow survived after the greenhouse blew away, it was tied down and pegged into the ground. Looking forward to some warm weather.

My first go at growing tomatoes but here in Scotland I just have lots of green toms. Weather has been awful this summer. Trying the toms. in a paper bag with a banana trick and see if that does anything to ripen them.

🍓 Strawberries grown outside in Sept? You're just showing off now Ivan😂😂😂Fabulous harvest. I bet growing your fruit and veg against the caravan wall has helped retain the heat. It all looks great. We've had a real soggy growing season up here in North Yorkshire this year, so our harvest has been very hit and miss. Still, all the hard work is worth it, still can't beat home grown veg, fresh out the soil. 😋

Nice harvest to come home to. I was wondering where you was

Nice harvest Ivan. We've lost a lot of crops to slugs. Iceberg lettuce were destroyed. Broccoli has bolted and slugs keep eating chilli peppers & bell peppers. It's so frustrating.
We only like crispy lettuce so I need to try & find something else to try.

Loving your return home harvest tonight Ivan. Watching the video just confirmed my decision to do more container gardening for next year starting with sowing this september.

My first year of taking gardening seriously has been a dissafookinpointment. Just like the east coast Scottish weather of '24

So, plenty of holes, but do containers need to be raised off the ground ? Or can they sit flat on the ground
