It is expensive here, but is one of the most beautiful places in the world and one of the best places to live. Other than our governor we haven’t made.

This is why I waited until retirement to move here to San Diego. Now I'm on vacation 24/7/365.

When ppl ask, I tell them not to move to SD unless you make at least 6 figures or more depending on what kind of life style you want & prefer no roomates. I'm able to live well in SD & save etc. However, I'm single, no debt, and no kids. That makes a huge difference.

Damnn I thought it was bad here in Britain but that food cost is more than the rent on some apartments even down south lol

Most have at LEAST 2 JOBS. To live in the desirable areas (north of 94) You nailed it! Great vid.

If you moved to San Diego in the early 2000s the rent now was able to get a 5 bedroom house before. Glad I bought my house years ago. Can't see how people moving to CA now can afford it.

That’s the minimum ! You could barely survive that in SD unless you living with roommates or full house of relatives or your parents home is paid off

My dad's first home in San Diego cost less than 19K -- I can't even buy a decent car for that price!

Moved here in 1969 as a Navy brat from Hawaii and retired in 2017 but my hometown is getting waay too expensive and unaffordable.

By the grace of God, I manage to live comfortably albeit frugally with my pension/savings but like everyone else, I'm feeling the cost of living pinch more and more each year.

Oh heck, we all know the lucky folks living in 'America's Finest City' pays a 'sunshine tax' for having the best weather in the country.

Life is a 🏖!
