Greetings from Brazil, I have a VW EOS, it was parked for a long time, the battery discharged, I put a new one in and when I went to start it the message "immobilizer active" appeared, I left the key in the contact and the next day it started again without problems. While watching this all I did was open the door after slamming it because I had the problem. Opened the door and boom. The fans kicked on and the car unlocked

What causes no start and no power to dashboard on vw jetta? Before this issue, abs lights, engine oil pressure and steering lock colom lights were on along with check engine.

well i have same issue, i have tried this several times and it didnt work.
vw, come out with a statement on how to get this thing fixed for good. we cant keep risking our lifes driving this.

I did this and also disconnected the battery.. and now i dont wven get dashlights on . Not even immobilizer active message anymore. Any ideas??

Mine cranks but wont start. Key fob got stuck and i yanked it out of the ignition causing the immobilizer to activate. It deactivated but now my car wont start.

Please help me i don't know what to do.

I drove over a cone on freeway months ago. Check engine came on days later.

Downstream NOx sensor wires and ground wire harness wires shredded.

Spliced wires back together with solder seal connectors.

Now car won't start no crank.

Replaced battery, respliced some ground wires. Checked all fuses. Nothing.

Battery loses power when turn key to start.. Seems like starter is getting power.

Didn't have any issues before this happen and even after with the wires cut completely the car still start no problem.

I don't know what i did. I only removed the NOx sensor and its wire harness and the ground wires that run next to it and spliced them together.

I don't even think it's a short because the car doesn't even try to start.

All fuses are in tact. I don't know what to do.
