Remember: This has to be done every time you want to start the car! It's a emergency start.
It you change cluster without modify data, this wil NOT work.

That was just a way for you to transport the car to the dealership in the old days. It would need to be done each time to start the car. Honda had a similar thing called a brake code.

Help!! I accidentally activated the immobilizer on a Winnebago Vista 2002 thats a VW eurovan. I tried what I thought was a spare key and everything shut down. The right, original key doesn't start it now, its completely dead. Everything I read says to unlock the door with the correct key, hold for 30 seconds in the lock, then start the car. Nope. Doesn't work. I just bought this RV, haven't even driven it. Came with one original key and that other one, that I thought was a spare. Apparently someone tried to make a copy and the immobilizer on VWs activates when putting it in the ignition. It didn't even turn! I have no idea why that bad key even came with it but I didn't know trying it would shut down everything! What do I do????

Guys just connect your batery car on charger or cables...turn on conctact leave about 10 minutes on charger than turnf off contact and turn on again...problem solved
