In this video I look at 2 very different irons, The Callaway Apex MB & the Callaway Apex DCB, and compare the numbers using 2 very different swings...

Always good to raise awareness and how important it is to get clubs fitted that are right for you.

Great explanation/comparison. As someone newer to golf folks often talked about “jacked” lofts adding distance but don’t explain why or how other than “stronger lofts go farther.” To me, this is more helpful because it relates the lofts to how the player swings, not how they score (though the two are often related). Great video!

Just came across this video, noticed it's 1 year old, but wanted to add a comment.

This is actually something I've experienced myself lately as a relatively newer golfer (2+ years in). Made the switch from Cobra F9 irons to some Wilson Staff blades. The change in ball flight is amazing and a much better fit for my swing with the "traditional lofted" blades.

Another great video. Thanks!

Would love understand my numbers like you do. They are probably odd as I am very new to golf and trying to make game as easy as possible.

Swing speed with driver 95-105, playing home built single length, stiff graphite shaft, hybrid headed irons 😂

I only get consistent strikes when placing the ball far back in stance and I deloft the face a ton as well. Result is hilarious with "long" irons. My 4 hybrid (7 iron length) has 20* loft, delofted by my swing it has a lower ball flight than my driver 😂

No time to yell fore when golf ball has bullet flight path

I thought I was subscribed! 😬 your vids always pop up haha well, I am now 👍
Great content, very informative. Keep doing what you're doing.
Wish I had your skills with a club in my hands 😩😎

I hit down, deep divots, so low loft's are not ideal for me, that's why I hit older irons, my 7 iron is 36 loft.

This was a really useful video. Question for you: I was going through a recent Trackman report and seeing my dynamic loft at 20 degrees for my 33 degree 7 iron. I definitely need launch and spin. If you were starting a fit with me, knowing only that dynamic loft number + that I’m a fairly consistent ball striker at 84-85ish mph with 7 iron, what are a couple of the iron heads you’d hand me first?

What would this test look like with say a senior golfer that swings a 7 iron 30 to 40mph slower? Would extra loft help this type of golfer?

What irons do you recommend to look for, if you hit a decent amount down on the ball ?
Atm im playing Taylormade 770, wich are pretty good, but never really got to like the feel of them. They feel to powerfull, if that makes sense. Im guessing its because they are hollow body irons
Im similar numbers to you
Playing with KBS 130 x-stiff. 6 iron is around 95-97 swing speed, with 4-5 down attack angle and i deliver about 20-21 degree loft, when i strike my 6 iron
Ive been eyeing the Srixon zx7, wich ive heard/read are great, if you hit down on the ball + they are forged and not hollow body

Why don’t they make lower lofted blades for people with really high swing speed ❓

Hello. I currently play Mizuno 921 tour irons…I love them but now that I have a launch monitor and can see my spin….i see I deloft the iron and my spin is lower than it should be.

I cannot play distance irons or even player distance because spin is too low…I currently must stick to conventional old traditional lofts. 4 iron 24*.

Do you know of any irons that are forgiving irons but have standard loft? I have considered getting a set of T150’s and bending them weak to standard….what are your thoughts?
