Blackberry Passport vs. Blackberry Classic

Blackberry's got two new flagship phones heading into 2015, the Passport and the Classic! Here's my opinion about which of the two is better.

The Passport is without question the most impressive device I have ever used. I can travel without a notebook and the battery life along with BB Blend is a sensational experience!

I actually sold my Blackberry Passport within a week of owning it.
It was bigger than my liking and I still missed the trackpad accuracy. I wish they had one more row in Passport.

Q10 also felt a little cramped and I missed the good old trackpad. I had been using iOS and Android devices ever since and still remember the work I used to get done on my blackberry. Specs to be honest are just made up. You can still see 1GB RAM of iPhone 6 competing against the android flagships. As far as the phone lasts me whole day and get my work done, I am happy with it. Honestly I stopped typing long emails once I moved to touch only devices. Yes they are good for social media and chat sessions but not for longer typed text.

Hence I have ordered Blackberry Classic. Hope that it so the BBOS 10 device I was waiting for.

I've been sitting on the fence for the last couple of months. I'm a BlackBerry fan and have owned the Z10 (liked it but the battery sucked) the Q10 (battery a bit better but wished I had a track pad with the keyboard) and now I have the Z30 which I love. The battery is great, screen size is great, call quality is best I've ever used but now that I have been using it for over a year I want to upgrade. I know most reviews of Passport owners say they get used to the size really quick and they love the phone but I'm not convinced the size would be right for me. I love everything about the Classic except the specs. It has the same specs as my 15 month old Z30 so it wouldn't feel like an upgrade. I feel like I might wait to see what the next flagship phone BlackBerry puts out. An upgraded Z30 would be a hit for me I think.

The pass port all the way! Its innovative! Not for all but the ones that can appreciate it, its a very unique device!!

I love my Q10. Still enjoying it to this day. If I were to upgrade i'd get the passport.

The Passport is hands down THE BlackBerry that makes the company relevant again. I have had mine for three weeks and just sold my iPhone 6 because I simply wasn't using it any more. The Classic just seems like the Bold recycled. There is nothing even close to the Passport in design or productivity.

The keyboard on the classic is also swipe sensitive. I played with one at my local VerizonWireless store and if you swipe up the keys it's the same as swiping the screen on all the other BBRY devices.

Merge classic and passport to have screen size and touch sensitivity of keyboard of the passport and trackpad, four row keyboard and dedicated send end and other keys from classic and you've got yourself is THE PERFECT MOBILE DEVICE which hails from laptops, not phones.

Passport is a flagship device and its a hell of a phone. Classic is exactly that a classic BB but that has its own set of advantages too. For me passport is just a better phone but maybe classic will sell more. Whatever the result is BB is doing a good job coming back from the dead. I definitely prefer to have blackberry around than not. I regret for Nokia goi away so much that I want to buy the lumia 930just to have a Nokia phone for the last time.

Grate info, my wife wants the Q10 but I thought the Classic would be better. its seems they're both the same, one just cost less!

a matter of taste too. I personally find the Passport not aesthetically appealing at all and way too big.  Even though I'm sure it's a much better device.  Just pre ordered the Classic.

I dont think the passport will sell to well because its really big but unlike the iphone 6+ its REALLY wide

Both are good phones and can't go wrong with either, also I prefer classic, also I've had all Blackberry's and I just had a LG, S6, iPhone, G3...I always love BlackBerry for some reason and I do not play games on phones at all just text, Facebook, Twitter, IG. #Typicalthings.
