I hate this format of debating. Most of the guests are looking for a "got you" moment instead of learning and having an open mind

Aren't autism numbers going up because people are getting diagnosed now, rather than labeled "insane", "crazy" or "problematic" etc?

telling a doctor "I actually read and study" is diabolical.

Airbags can cause injuries, sometimes those injuries are severe but the consensus is flying through you windshield and getting splattered on the pavement or getting your skull bashed in on the steering wheel in a collision is far worse than any injuries the airbag or seatbelt might cause.

I find the autism argument offensive. Not only is it false, it also implies that autism is somehow worse than getting a fatal disease.

"I actually read and study" - So the DOCTOR doesn't read or study and hasn't done so for his entire life or what? Doctor Mike, you're a saint please don't ever change.

they barely let you, a professional, speak. i've seen children have better debates than what we just watched.

The day I finally got my autism diagnosis as an adult, my partner took me out for mango ice cream. The shop we went to was out of mango though and we had to settle for mixed berries instead. Clearly, autism diagnosis causes the spontaneous de materialization of nearby mangos. I have no idea why more people aren't outraged by this.

Telling a DOCTOR they dont read or study is wild work 😭🙏

They shouldn't be permitted to raise their flags until the expert has spoken for at least five minutes. Allowing panelists to speak for ten minutes and then cutting off the expert just thirty seconds into their response is absurd.

"I actually read and study" "nothing you can say would change my mind"
Those two statements contradict each other. Studying is about adding to your knowledge base. When you refuse to change your mind, it's not about what's true, it's about your ideology.

This was so painful to watch. They literally will vote off anyone having an actual conversation and then applaud people arguing over the main debater

Autistic person here. The real reason Autism rates are increasing is at least in part because of increased awareness and better diagnostic techniques, criteria, etc. In fact, it is not uncommon for someone to get diagnosed for the first time as an adult after their children receive an Autism diagnosis, which also proves that genetics plays a significant role. Also keep in mind that in some places what is now diagnosed as Autism includes related conditions that were once considered separate, such as Asperger's.

My aunt who is a NURSE saw this video on my ipad and I almost thought she would reach into the screen and grab the lady who said I read and study.

You have the patience of a saint Dr Mike

I watched the jubilee video. The entire comments section agreed that the contestants were "voting out their representative" while Dr Mike was talking. He never got to make his point. The formatting was broke af

How Dr Mike stayed calm and respectful during that debate while those 17 people he debated with were really rude is beyond me

This is how medical advocacy should be! Respectful, meets people where they're at, validates the feelings, explains the science.
Also appreciate that you're communicating differently to different audiences. Well done, Mike ggs

I have a degree in health science and worked a year in public health post Covid. I work now in behavioral health after a 15 year career in healthcare. I have three children who are all vaccinated. My youngest developed a fever after his first MMR. That’s common. He developed a febrile seizure from the fevers. He recovered well. His physician and I still vaccinate him and at 19 he chooses vaccines. He’s never had any other seizures and is healthy. This is one of the most common examples of vaccine “injury”. Please understand this.
