2013 Tesla Model S Performance P85+ Buyers Guide and Info

If you have been dreaming of a Tesla Model S but couldnt afford the $100k plus price tag for a Performance version of the Model S than this super clean example might be the one for you. There is now a long track record of Tesla vehicles with 200, 300 and even 400k miles! The record right now is 420k miles and batter capacity is still at 80%, so with only 52k miles on this P85 plus there is lots and lots of life left. Also do to the simple nature of an electric motor there is very little to go wrong compared to an internal combustion engine with lots of complex parts and with regenerative braking even brake pads last a really long time and you will never need to worry about oil changes, spark plugs, timing belts and transmission services. While this P85 plus might be a little overshowed by the new P90 and P100 versions, it still makes 414-hp and 443 pound feet of torque, has nearly a 250 mile range and can go 0-60-mph in under 5 seconds which is still faster than most of the other cars on the road.

Great Tesla review bought a pearl white cream interior Model S P85 back in 2014 still got it now 140, 000 miles. Ive driven the P85+ and you can tell they have really worked on that suspension, its coil springs, gas dampers and staggered wheels on the + and that car really handles. My car is air suspension which I prefer for wadeing in floods. RWD cars tend to have a nice precise feel to the steering and being a pre 2016 Ive got the free supercharging and data prefer the 19" wheels (powder coated black). Ive a sunroof delete no need to look at grey UK skies LOL. Had all 4 door handles replace with V2.5 there are no moving wires or microswitches they do the V2.5 (latest mechanism on the classic cars mounting plates with a special adaptor harness) and the software is updated so you have to have all 4 done but again its reasonable cost. Cant see me selling this car its even faster now than when I bought it. And yep the low C of G is a massive reason why these big units handle so beat physics!

NEVER buy these 2013's from Tesla or at a Tesla auction. This Tesla model originally sold and came with free lifetime supercharging. Tesla is buying this model back and others like it that originally came with the free lifetime supercharging. Tesla then waives the lifetime supercharging contract and promptly resells -minus the free charging.

If you're thinking of buying this exact model, you're going to love it. I love my Tesla S P85, but I'm very glad I bought it from a private dealer and still have the free lifetime supercharging.

Very good educational video on this model S and the Tesla company. Great tips on the recalls.
It obvious, you're 100 % sold on Tesla!!
Model S is definitely my favorite one!👊😉

I wonder just how reliable/smart it would be to buy a 2013 model that is out of warranty? I ask because I am looking at a very nice 2013 P85+ with only 11k miles...but sure would HATE for something crazy to happen and I be out of warranty...especially when I hear that Tesla charges around $20, 000 for a new battery pack.

Looking at a P85 that has 150k miles for $30k. I know used car prices are up generally speaking right now, but curious if that is a good deal. I want a Cybertruck, but know I'm going to be waiting for a long time and want to trade my Camry at a good deal for a Tesla before it loses too much value. Lol

Greetings, I'm pretty sure pricing is going up due to gas prices. Do you think these models in this condition will still be under 40k? Thanks also do you have any in inventory like this and what's it's price?

I assume the answer is yes...but when you let off the throttle and the regen brakes kick in...do the taillights illuminate?

Tesla was a founder, they had no product, and would have never gotten the company off the ground w/out him.

Sooo many mistakes in the very first minute of this video: 2013 Tesla S85 had a fully charged range of 265 miles (or more depending on climate and driving conditions) when new; the first Tesla was a "roadster" not a "rotor", and is based on the Lotus Elise, not the Elan. And I wish you would stop saying "step on the gas", when you mean "accelerator pedal". You are in an all electric car -- there is no "gas".
