Provocative in the most extreme sense! This sort of banditry is the hallmark of the US all over the world.

If China doesn't put actions to their words, then China will have lost the respect in the geopolitical world.

The scary part is that if a war breaks out .. it will spark many conflicts other around the world.

Let's hope there still a bit of common sense left on the americans. Coz up till now, they don't know what a red line means.

If the world learnt anything from Ukraine, it's to act fast before the salami slicing goes on for too long. Delaying the inevitable is pointless and may cause even more hardship due to ambiguity and lack of growth.

What are the people of Taiwan feeling about all this. Is the Taiwan govt getting ready give back all the treasures they "stole" from the Chinese people on the mainland when the KMT and its boat loads of gold and treasure fled to Taiwan after loosing the war.?!Or are they planning to give the treasures to the US in return for protection? somewhat like a protection racket.

Indeed, it is. A visit by Рelosi to the island would be a blatant provocation and a gross violation of the One China policy which is the foundation of the Sino-U$ relations. Still, I have to reiterate: The U$ is using Taiwan the exact same way they have used Ukrainе. Which is precisely why you shouldn't play the game that they want you to play. You have various tools to negate the U$ provocations. Use them wisely and you'll overcome the difficulties which the U$ is creating for you.
Always remember: 'Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it.'

China must not let this provocation come to pass lest it wants more such provocations in the future. China must stop it now if it wants to reunite Taiwan. If war is what it takes to stop these provocations, then let it be war. Jiayu China!

Both the Spratley Islands and Taiwan was part of China for thousands of years, there was a war that broke out in 1894 between Japan and China called the Sino-Japanese war. The Chinese were defeated in thus Japan took over Taiwan and the Spratley Islands but once Japan started expanding all over Southeast Asia and into the Pacific and Pearl Harbor in WW2, the allied forces along with China fought against the Japanese Imperial army and defeated them. The U.K. and United States recognizes Taiwan and all other islands taken by Japan to be returned to China in the Sino-Japanese Peace Treaty signed in 1952. Both Harry S. Truman and Jimmy Carter recognizes Taiwan as China's territory during both their presidency.
