Her visit did not have best interest at heart for Taiwan. She could care less about repercussions to Taiwan from China. I don’t understand the situation she put them in.

I think an appropriate response would be a visit by Li Zhanshu to the island of Hawaii supporting their independence and making some mutually beneficial trade deals with it.

China must reciprocate in kind with extreme prejudices. The retaliations does not have to be military at this point and should aim to further weakened and disrupt America's already fracturing economy. Start with disrupting crucial products that the US heavy industry must have to keep operations running smoothly. Reduce exports of rare minerals to the US as well. Draw out the punishments for as long as possible.
