Let me give you sales men a tip also.. when someone says “let me talk to my spouse” it’s a respectful way of saying “stop wasting my time with your shit products”

"It's not about how my wife/husband would feel, it's about my respect for them and their input on major purchases/decisions."

Or, just respect what the person says and stop seeing people as a means of meeting your quota.
