Say "to see if I'm available" and you lose that prospect immediately. Don't do that kids. Been there. Never try to disrupt the food chain. You're in asking position when you are selling. Always. And a prospect has the upper hand and last call. So when you try to juggle with this pretentious stank - it won't fly
