The best part about owning a 9 string is knowing I can break up to 3 liable strings and still have a really nice conventional 6 string rhythm guitar as well.

I can use Standard D Flat or C Sharp 9 string guitar 10 string bass, but I have to play the same notes as Drop E, Drop D, and Drop D Flat or C Sharp 8 string guitar 7 string bass.

Or I could just tune my 6 string to c# standard, and then just tune the 2 high strings down to make it all 4ths tuning.
