You are right on and things have gotten so much worse over the last 20 years. There is no tolerance for children to be children, and they are taught that you must obey at all times. If you screw up at any point you risk a lifetime of failure and misery. The only thing that matters is money, that iPhone and that Lexus. If you don’t have those things you are a loser, and the only way to get those things is to conform at all costs. Not surprising that so many young people cannot survive this kind of pressure. Much of this starts with the parents.
