I've worked on several pieces of Tek equipment that used those PCB multi contact switches, they all had solder joint failure between the PCB and the switch contacts. I used a scrap of wood between the PCB and the contacts, held in place with painters tape, to hold the contacts stationary while resoldering. Good fortunes and thanks for your work.

1. Contact cleaner spray on all switches and pots 2. Look for broken solders or traces especially around switches and pots

I would do a recap instead of keeping playing with it, since now it’s proven to work you can make the investment with confidence and take out the risk of caps exploding and the instrument dying

Can't wait to see this beauty operational. :)

Definitely dodgy switch contacts. Thoroughly clean every switch and pot. Even replace them if they're really bad.

I think cleaning all of the switches with some deoxit is a priority, in the last video it looked like it worked for a few ms here or there, which could be from bad switches.

Seems recapping is SOP for old equipment and running with old caps is invitation to burning up other components.

Hi, I wouldn't try it anymore and look at the source and repair it to 100% condition so that there is no more damage.

Nice day 🙂 Tom

Corrosion on board could be some of that glitchyness; saw that happening around those DIPs from earlier. Didn't you say it had been somewhere moist? Depending on how far into the board that stuff has gotten, that sort of thing can get pretty destructive. Rescue-able, just...man it could be quite tricky if that got it and/or widespread.

eliminate the switch issue and re-cap it? then see what happens?

With that jitter in the trace, I bet you’ve still got supply issues

Thing looks filthy inside I would go over everything inside and clean it and check all the caps. Who knows what kind of leakage your getting.

Seems that you still have a lot of work on the switches.

Still think a mechanical problem ie:a contact.
