If it's not working for you, make sure that:
1. The machine is facing south
2. You're using shears
3. Try it a few times

I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, everything is the same but when I do it, it only dupes 2 extra string then stops.

The machine ONLY worked when it was facing south not north.

It only dupes two string on mutiplayer server but when i tested it in the offline server it was working fine and the server version is 1.20.2 but still didnt work idk why

how come for me the water goes through the trapdoor?

It’s realy weird but you have to conduct string to trip wire you can’t shift it on the trapdoor
