Minecraft Easy Automatic String + Emerald Farm 1.20+

Today we're gonna build a very EASY string duper farm which gives a lot of string and emerald! I hope you guys enjoy it!

Welcome to this EASY EMERALD FARM tutorial in Minecraft 1.20+! In this step-by-step guide, you'll learn how to construct a highly efficient String farm / String duper that allows you to quickly gather tons of emeralds from trading with villagers in Minecraft. guys just a heads up when its not working. ( IT WILL NOT WORK IN SERVERS ) ive tried it personally in my own server, aternos, hypixel. the only time it works is single and realm. ( Please like this up so people will be aware)

Just so everyone knows, the whole machine has to be within a chunk, if it crosses over 2 chunks it will not work.

Update: The farm doesn't work anymore if you're playing on version 1.21.2 or higher.

Anybody who is having trouble after making this face the correct way (south) made the machine in only 1 chunk and crouched while breaking the string and faced East while breaking the string if none of this works than try switching the side of the block that the lever sits on please like this comment up to help others with this problem

For those of you who noticed that the string broke when trying to activate the farm, here's how to fix it:
Make sure that you built the farm facing south.
Make sure that you're facing east and crouching while breaking the string
Break the right string
Make sure all the trapdoors are closed before you break the string
And make sure you're in a singleplayer world/realm.

Edit: This works on 1.21.1, only on singleplayer or lan though (essential mod should work)

For those who couldn't do it even after making sure direction and everything is correct, just keep trying and reloading your world, it took me a couple of tries and reloading my world. This works on java not bedrock and not in servers. Idk about version but i did this on 1.20.4

9/9/24 it works. Just made this in a Java realm last night. I copied it exactly but spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why it didn't work. Tried a million different things. Then I realized I was an idiot and I thought you were *supposed* to completely break the string, so when it wouldn't break I would keep trying until it did. Then flip the switch. Once I finally realized my error, it worked perfectly. If you go to cut it and it bounces and still shows string, then it's correct. If you fully cut the string, it won't work. Filled 4 chests with string in like 10-15 minutes. I've put 4 villagers in around it so far, only 1 doesn't offer a string exchange. I plan on adding some more around as well. Absolutely amazing farm. Thank you so much for this video!

Yay it worked thank you I’ve got more string then I know what to do with and have 5 villagers who can barely keep up the only limit now seems to be how fast I can sell thank you! Also I’ve seen a few comments saying they struggled with it so just for context I built this on Java 1.21 and I had to left click not right click it to start it up I also didn’t know how to check what Direction I was building it in but apparently did it right first try but that’s one thing that could explain why it’s not working for some

It works on Servers. I tried for over an Hour so heres what I noticed:

make sure to sneak wiht sheers, the direction of the lever is important, make sure the water flows like in the video. Basically copy everything 1 to 1 everything is important

i tried in singleplayer survival and ITS WORKING 1.21 JAVA, i tried few times at first and it didnt work, so u have to do exactly as he says and it will work

It's easier to do this if you set the frame rate to 10fps. This way, it will work in both mod and optifine environments. You can set the method from the video settings

to any of those struggling to get this to work, I made this in my singleplayer world and I copied it 1 to 1 with the exception being the stone blocks (I used stone bricks). I couldn't get it to work at all, but then I took my shield out of my offhand and it worked fine. If any of you are trying to make it and have a shield or anything in your off hand it isn't working despite copying everything, try taking the item out of your offhand.
