Gunther should win that crown jewel whatever champion. And with KO heel it would protect Cody as he loses against Gunther by having KO attack him. Would be great to see a triple threat between Cody Rock and Roman.

K.O. has essentially become Drew McIntyre. Both men have fought the bloodline for years. Both men have lost and missed out on world title glory because of the bloodline. Both men have reached their threshold with trusting others because everyone seems to have their own agenda. In K.O.s case this is the second friend to join or align themselves with the bloodline and for him thats unacceptable. It’s bad enough that Sami became a bloodline member but now that Cody & Roman have just tag teamed, K.O. sees this as Cody siding with the enemy.

Edit: This heel turn is a setup for Cody’s eventual heel turn. His babyface run has run out of gas. Notice how he’s become less and less important since Roman’s return. His heel turn is going to be epic because it will infuse some much needed energy his character and title reign. The American nightmare gimmick is peak.

I enjoy Cody Rhodes as Undisputed champion. But I think I figured a smart idea if not the 100% likelihood. As much as Randy Orton might win the title from Cody, it might actually be Drew McIntyre since the future is the focus and I like the idea of Cody winning against Randy Orton to show the growth between these two.
