I’m a Muslim and too bad I was once an alcoholic... I used to always wake up and drink 2 bottles of beer, one day I just woke up in the morning and decided to pray 2 rakaas for fajr instead of drinking 2 beers and Alhamdulillah i now stopped drinking... I hope I never go back to the person I was before!

I just tasted beer 4% alcohol today. I was forced to drink it a bit from friends. I will never do it. I will never ever drink alcohol again. But to be honest, I didn’t drink the whole can of beer. Just little bit like 1/3 of cup. I really feel bad because it is not allowed In Islam and I drank it. Please Allah for give me. As a Muslim, I will never ever drink it and even I will not smell it. I feel bad. I always ask for forgiveness to Allah.

I had 1 shot because i was very very depressed but lets not go there, i had no idea that my prayers wouldnt be accepted for 40 days :(, i hadnt drank any alcohol in 1-2 years im now even more upset. But makes sense sadly i feel far from allah right now. Days before i wore hijab and abaya for a few days for the first time but i wasnt ready and i thought bad things. I know i messed up but i will try to repent and Inşallah then maybe ill be accepted :(

I drank alcohol and I heard someone tell me this and I ended up not praying for years because those years I was alcoholic 😭

Basically I find this "40 day's prayer won't be accepted" logic less baseless Hadith, cuz almighty allah forgive in these days if we pray !! So what's the point of saying" prayer won't be accepted " ??
Please correct me, if I can't understand this ....

Every intoxicant is haram in Islam. Caffeine ( Tea, Coffee) is also an intoxicant. A person who always drinks tea regularly feels headache or unwell if he or she misses this drink for a day. This means that it creates addiction. Then why do Muslims still drink tea or coffee?
